Quando rapita in estasi by Filippo Sorcinelli is an extrait de parfum inspired by Maria Callas, “La Divina,” and her interpretation of the mad scene aria from Gaetano Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor at La Scala in Milan in the 1950s. An intense and dramatic fragrance, built like an enveloping opera where frankincense, flowers, and deep accords blend into an almost theatrical emotional tension.

The composition opens with the solemn character of frankincense, the floral delicacy of lily of the valley, and the dry structure of cedar, creating a luminous yet deeply evocative entrance. In the heart, cloves introduce a spicy and intense vibration, while peach brings a softer, carnal, and velvety nuance. The base develops into a rich and persistent trail, where frankincense, balsam fir, labdanum, patchouli, vetiver, vanilla, and tonka bean build a resinous, amber, and magnetic depth.
