Every weekend I took the train out of the city to visit her in the countryside. When I opened the door, an intense smell of cookies forcefully drew me inside the little wood and stone house. "But, Grandma, have you started yet?" I said to her. For two days we would dedicate ourselves only to creating cakes and cookies with whipped cream, brown sugar, peaches in syrup and lots of vanilla. And Grandma never seemed to have enough.
