It all began in 1894 in South Shields, when a family decided to devote themselves to the creation of waterproof jackets, suitable for protecting local sailors and fishermen from bad weather.

More than a century later, the family-run company is one of the few English clothing manufacturers to have obtained the  Royal Warrant three times, assigned by the Queen to the most exclusive suppliers of the English Royal House.
