Pont. Max. by Filippo Sorcinelli is an extrait de parfum inspired by the sacristy drawers of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. A fragrance with a solemn and institutional character, conceived as a symbolic reference to the set of Roman rites handed down by the Church of Rome and spread throughout the world.

The composition is built around a deep and resinous subject, where myrrh, benzoin, incense resinoid, and amber create a warm, intense, and ceremonial structure. The counter-subject introduces a more airy tension, with marine notes and jasmine, which lighten the sacred matter without dispersing its strength. The tail closes with Virginia cedarwood, dry and authoritative, capable of leaving an austere, woody, and persistent trail.
