Mr. Caruso is 75 years old. Everyone in town knows him. He is a gruff, creature of habit. Every morning he makes the same journey. He greets the newsagent, buys the paper and goes to his trusted barber (who shaves him like in the old days), then he stops at the bar next door, takes off his hat and orders a strong coffee and an empty croissant.
